10 , 2008 :: The Wisconsin Badgers end their season playing in the
quarterfinal round at the 2008 ACHA National Tournament.
The Badgers who earned a number eight bid, lost their opening round game to number one ranked Lindenwood 12-1. They defeated Colorado University 6-1 to advance to the quarterfinal game before dropping a 4-1 loss to the University of Massachusetts.
Jaime Ferrentino lead the team scoring five of the Badger's eight goals including a hat trick and two assists. Holly Olp, Betty Donlan and Chelsea Couette each netted one goal. Julia Holl assisted on 4 goals and Mara Greenwald stopped 20 of 21 in the only win.
"Overall, I was pleased with our season and the way we played in the tournament. It's always tough to lose a game you believe you could have won (referring to the U-Mass loss), but someone has to lose and that happened to be us that night." comments Coach Uschan.
Wisconsin closes out the season with a 17-12-1 overall record and 9-9-1 in the ACHA.
National Tournament
The Badgers have earned their first trip to the ACHA National Tournament since winning the title in 2004.
