In the middle of the second period, forward Jen Wollak suffered a broken right arm. Wollak with four goals and one assist this season will be out of action for 2 to 3 months. Stout again took the lead on a long shot from the point. Roseann Meyer wristed a 50 footer past Stout Goalie Andrea Schaefer to tie the game again. Then Kelly Vruwink, on a pass from Jen Starbuck, scored on a breakaway goal. Anne Woll closed out the scoring while Skoloda stopped 16.
"We controlled game one very well. We were very aggressive and had many opportunities. Their goalie kept them in this game. We again struggled on game two as we have been in the past three series. The second game of the two game series seem to trouble us. Then with Wollak out, I moved Starbuck to forward to replace her agressive style of play. The team picked it up in the third and Stout eventually ran out of gas." - coach Uschan.
UW travels to Ames, IA to face Iowa State University in a two game series. Last season, UW was 2-0-1 against the Cyclones.
